Commissioning of iron ore probe transport system at Roy Hill Mine
Australia, May 2016
The commissioning of 2 additional iron ore probe transport systems to the new Roy Hill Mine in Australia was a new milestone for our product range of batch material handling equipment. Pellet and lump ore samples travel a distance of over 100 m on the fully-automated system from the conveyor sampling stations to the central iron ore laboratory, where they can quickly be analysed by robot systems. Thus, the time between sampling and analysis can be significantly reduced. The system has proven itself in the last 6 years with a 7/7 day and 24/24 hour operation due to its high reliability.
