A so-called HKL system, which can be installed without the need for steel platforms, is available for core sand distribution. A transport bin suspended on a chain hoist is loaded at floor level and then lifted into a carriage, which travels along a monorail. The transport bin is then emptied over the core shooter through a sliding bottom. The system manages without a cable track or platform construction and requires only a low height, so that it can easily be installed in running core shops. Thanks to the lack of a cable track it is also possible to install a longer rail with more curves. The system is also being used successfully worldwide for other applications in the transport of samples and aggregates in adverse environmental conditions.
