A lifting trolley system is offered as a core sand distribution system that does not require steel construction platforms. A container transport trolley is suspended from a DEMAG KBK crane rail and moves horizontally. The container can also be suspended on a chain hoist so that it can be lowered into predetermined positions on a guide frame in order, for example, to pick up core sand from a mixer installed at ground level.
The container is lifted back into the transport trolley via the chain hoist, then moved on the crane rail over the corresponding core shooting machine and the core sand is emptied into the core shooting machines via a floor slide.
The system requires no dragging of cables, no stage construction and has a low overall height, so that it can also be easily retrofitted into existing core machining shops. The cable-free design allows for longer and winding routes, as well as climbs and descents. The system is also used successfully worldwide for other applications for transporting samples and aggregates under the most adverse environmental conditions.
Vertical and horizontal transport of core sand batches
Ground-level collection of core sand directly from the PKM mixer
Use of standard DEMAG crane rail components
Curve-ready
No steel stage construction necessary
High travel speeds of up to 50 m/min.
Transport distances of up to several 100 m possible
Also be familiar with height differences
Robust, low-maintenance construction can also be used under adverse environmental conditions
No trailing cables on the transfer carriage
Low height
Safety locking of the transport bucket and emergency stop bar in the event of unexpected collisions on the route
Almost 100% emptying thanks to PU lining
Low hardening of the core sand during transport due to optional sealing lids
